Pete Saxer is from New Jersey, now living in East London. He was lucky to grow up close to New York City so was able to attend gigs at venues like CBGB’s, The Ritz (the old Studio 54) and The Stone Pony in Asbury Park.
His eclectic musical tastes range from The Beatles and Biffy Clyro to The Ramones and Suicidal Tendencies, from Radiohead and Elbow to Madonna and Shania Twain, from The Lemon Twigs and the Church of the Cosmic Skull to NWA and Eminem.
A frequent visitor to British venues to experience new live music he also loves to visit classic musical forums such as The Garage in Islington, The Cavern Club in Liverpool and most recently The Troubadour and The Whiskey-A-Go-Go in Los Angeles.
Pete believes it is important to always be open to new music while at the same time respecting and loving music of the past that paved the way – exemplified in his two shows, Unknown Sounds (playing only unsigned and independent music) and The 70s Flashback Show.
